Miller's Pub has many charms--but for me, it's the chance to order disappearing old-school classics like a perch dinner or turkey club. Why get a burger, when you can get a open-faced meatloaf sandwich?

Nonetheless, I tried the Greekburger this past Sunday. Very tasty . . . even if you're not a huge burger fan. In fact, it's more like the soft cutlets one occasionally finds in Greek and Middle Eastern cuisine and less like a burger. Reminiscent of gyros but without any sense of greasiness, and the coarse greens and spices that are mixed are actually visible in the patty. Covered with a not-too-thick layer of feta. (And, somehow, they got it to melt.) Comes with standard-issue fries and a delightful small side salad of olives, tomatoes, feta chunks, and a snappy house oil/vinegar dressing.

Many are probably familiar with this burger, but I couldn't help giving it a small shout-out.

(I took a picture, but had trouble using the Img button--sorry.)

This is what's great about LTH. Been working in the Loop my entire adult life and never knew about this. Sounds unique and good. Thanks.

Sounds as though this dish is the same as they served in the original location on Adams 40 plus years ago.

I hadnt been to Millers Pub in almost a year if not longer when I got over there the other night. So after seeing that it wasn't quite time for smelt season which was on my mind from reading about on here. I also remembered reading on here about the Greekburger and decided to go with that instead and I'm glad I did. Its pretty much perfectly described by the OP. Thanks for the heads up.

I prefer my burgers in the McDonalds/Drive In style but love all forms of them and this was a great bar burger. It tasted and had the texture of a kofta kebab due to a heavy and perfect amount of chopped onions and red and green peppers added in. It was a hand formed half pound beauty cooked to a perfect medium rare. I ate it as is, no toppings and quite enjoyed it. The fries are eh but alright with their steak sauce and the only disappointment was they used American pint glasses for the Guinness drafts as opposed to the proper Guinness (English) pint glass every bar should be required to use if they serve Guinness on tap. Other than that Millers is a place I enjoy quite much. Its a nice downtown spot.

I'd love one of these for lunch today.

    +1, I love those Greekburgers at Miller's.
What if the Hokey Pokey really IS what it's all about?

Ate at Miller's almost every day for 2 years and never had one of these. Got to make a trip to the loop just for one of these.
