Thanks everyone for making another dessert exchange a success. I think I have enough desserts left to last until the next exchange!

Thanks again for hosting! I'm going to attempt making your salad. And thanks to everyone, I'm planning a trip to Baylor's when they return.

i had a great time. i loved trying a new cocktail, the crysanthemum (noilly prat dry vermouth, b&b and a splash of pernod); discovering a reason to find my mandoline (to cut fennel paper thin and combine it with grapefruit); to meet new people(melissa); to try new desserts (maple cheesecake, bakewell tarts); and to enjoy the always relaxing company of lth'ers. thanks for being such a fine host, eli. justjoan

I'm with boudreaulicious & can't seem to get the bbcode right to post the images here. So here's a link to the camera phone images. They don't do any justice to what we had.

i thought it'd be a good idea to list what each person brought for each exchange. lauraS- bakewell tart; aschie30-maple cheesecake; eli-donuts w/rhubarb compote and cream cheese sauce; pairs4life-banana pudding w/vanilla wafers; justjoan-sugar brioche cake w/rhubarb and candied kumquat buttercream filling; nancie-lemon cake; melissa-lemon bars; pielady-dates stuffed with bacon and dark chocolate and honey/lime truffles. having a list can help some of us(me) from repeating a dessert at a later evening, without intending to. jj
