After picking up some specialty items on the way home Friday @ the Naperille H-Mart(quail eggs, dark soy sauce, chinese broccoli, pork belly, yan yan.) I hit the food court for a snack.
(5) stalls and a bakery - 1 pasta stall - ?, 1 Korean, 1 Chinese, 1 Japanese, and 1 Filipino
From the Filipino stand for my wife and daughter Pancit Canton, nice version, with 6 grilled shrimp. came with kutsinta - coconut jello thing. I alos ordered a single Turon -carmelized banana wrapped in a spring roll wrapper & deep fried. My wife is from the Phillipines, and she thought all items were right on, the older ladies working the stand were kicking out some traditional homestyle meals. I trust my wifes opinion on Filipino food more than anyone I know.
From the Korean stand I went with a beef bulgogi burrito. Not bad, meat was flavorfull, and pretty lean, easy to eat packaged in a burrito shell.
I see this food court becoming an almost weekly stop on Fridays when I need some items from H-mart
