I'm really glad you enjoyed it, Steve. As much as it's widely-known in the area, Seul's still seems to be somewhat off the radar. I've mentioned it a bunch of times here but always in the context of other conversations (Reubens, Northfield area, etc.). Thanks, for starting a dedicated thread.
Seul's Tavern - 1735 Orchard Ln, Northfield, ILAs for the fries, it's foodservice across the board but they will happily cook them well-done upon request. They also offer some thin-cut 'buffalo' (seasoned) fries, which are tasty. But no, you're not going to get fresh-cut fries at Seul's.

As I have mentioned both here and at
Ageless Northshore, not only are the reubens at Seul's outstanding but they also serve up some great wings, which rival my other 'favorite' spot for them, Toon's Bar. They're cooked in the classic style -- fried naked -- and then tossed in a mixture of butter and (Franks?) hot sauce after cooking . . .
12-piece Wings, SpicyIn this 'spicy' version, chile flakes are added to the mix. The 'standard' wings at Seul's are plenty hot, though.
The beloved ReubenCrispy, smooshy, pleasantly greasy and melty-good.
There are a few other choice items available at Seul's and the daily specials -- conceived and prepared by chef George and crew -- are always a treat, too. Our office used to be located directly across the street from Seul's and we'd get lunch from there 3 days a week. Now that we've moved up to Highland Park, it's still on our regular rotation but we only get there for lunch about once a month. Still, if you're in the area, it's a great spot to grab a bite.
