Whoa! This was such a lovely, lovely afternoon. So much good food and company and a delightful host to spend a sunny (at least on the inside) Saturday afternoon.

I only regret that I didn't get to hear more about people's dishes. They looked and tasted fabulous.

I look forward to another exchange.

A delicious afternoon. Loved all the food and, as always, it was such a delight to be with fellow LTHers.

    Thank you Jen for hosting.

Agreed! Jen, thanks for being a great hostess! I had a great time and loved all the food. Irisarbor, I forgot to get a copy of your jambalaya recipe. Do you think you might be able to email me a copy? My fiance thanks you ahead of time :) I am also looking forward to another exchange like this and would be up for hosting if people are up for another one.

What a great spread!! I am approaching my 1 year LTH anniversary (my how time flies) and I have to say that this was my favorite event so far in terms of the quality of food presented--not bad for a bunch of home cooks (and Danny!!) Hope my pups weren't too much of a pain in the #@$@ and thanks to everyone for providing, engaging and enjoying--can't wait to do it again.

Wonderful gathering. Each dish I tasted was outstanding. Unfortunately, I didn't have much room left for the many great deserts.

    Thank you Jen.

This was the first 'official' lth gathering I attended (after having done the sausage class @ Dank Haus the previous evening).

Between the warmth of Jen's hospitality, the overall friendliness of this group of strangers (to me, at least) and the excellent quality of the dishes prepared, I was ecstatic! I went right home and took a nap.

It was truly a pleasure to meet all of you and I look forward to getting together again in the near future.

    Thanks again, Jen & co.!

Sorry. Alistair and I were out and about & still talking about how wonderful the food was.

I just ate boudreaulicious' vegetarian red beans & rice with Grace's Hot Sauce from Jamaica, a home grown ripe tomato from our garden, home canned bread & butter pickles & Morningstar's spicy buffalo nuggets.

I will post more pics tonight, including dessert pics.

I apologize if there are some repeats of the pairs4life’s above, but the entrées were worthy enough to bear repeating.

Somehow I missed a few items (cabrito’s greens, cathy2’s apple cake) and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (pairs4life’s anisette and anothermike’s Tchoupitoulas sipper).

Again, what a great time. Thank you, jen, for opening your home to us and organizing.

What a great and wonderful event!
We had so much fun and just rolled our full stuffed selves home to the suburbs...LOL
So great to meet and chat with old friend and make new ones.
My daughter enjoyed the company and the cooking as well.
Can't wait to do another round when the post-holiday madness has toned down,
maybe in February... isn't there a NOLA themed holiday right about then?
I'll try and post my pix later tonight.

Though must people have probably found this already, I came across it only yesterday afternoon:

    viewtopic.php?f=16&t=21825&p=350130#p350130

It's a link to the 'Shopping & Cooking' thread which follows the gestation of Jimswide's shrimp and Tasso pasta dish and reveals the genius behind lougord99's cold smoked Andouille.
