The next dessert exchange will be Sunday, March 6th at my place in Old Town(what was formerly deemed Cabrini-Green) at 5 pm. My place is 3 blocks from the Sedgwick stop on the brown line.

There is street parking. It will be permit parking at 6 pm, but I will provide a permit for anyone who wants to drive.

We have an active dog who will probably stay as close to me as she can.

A baker's dozen is the limit for participants.

Here is the basic format for the dessert exchange:

    1) I’ll serve a vegetarian dinner
    2) Bring one recipe size of any dessert – no doubling or tripling of recipes needed!
    3) Bring a container to transport your dessert assortment home. (Or two, one for refrigerated desserts and one for non-refrigerated desserts.)
    4) Come hungry. You probably won’t want to eat another dessert afterwards for another month.

Feel free to make whatever you like. (Although in the past, some participants have been vegetarians and/or those who don't drink alcohol, just advise if your dessert includes those ingredients)

    1. mbh- Irish Soda Bread
    2. Ms. Ingie
    3. Pie Lady- Mardi Gras Lemon Bars
    4. alliepsp- Salted Rosemary Cookies
    5. Chouxfly
    6. Cookie Monster- Paczki still warm from the fryer
    7. MmmDonuts
    8. ymas
    9. izzy- Pralines
    10.dasgurl
    11. lauras- Pecan Squares sorta southern in honor of Mardi Gras!
    12. elliecm- Lemon cake with goat cheese frosting, walnut brittle, & blueberry compote

Baker's Dozen is complete with the host pairs4life- I really don't know what I will make, I'm fasting , edited: Mildred's Pound Cake.

Bonus: Green Zebra's Pink Peppercorn & Thyme Soda- House Drink

The Wait List Begins (That was fast!)

Street parking is good/okay (new construction going up so have construction materials, equipment taking up several spots on block, but South end of block is still quite good. Yes it's permit after 6 & yes I will have sticker if you are going to park.

    You are in .

No. But your Mardis Gras Lemon Bars would be great since Fat Tuesday is 48 hours after the dessert exchange.

Really? Yesterday, she told me she would see me there.

You are 1st on Wait list. It filled up very quickly as you can see. Plan to attend, because usually we have more than 1 person drop out.

    HI,

Long before this date, I committed to going to a sauerkraut dinner. If I remembered this earlier, I would not have affirmed my attendance.

I'm sorry for any inconvenience by cancelling. I love these shared dessert rampages.

    Regards,
    Cathy2
