I was looking forward to hitting this place with LTHers. Oh well, sounds like that will wait for another time.

After feedback from Boudreaulicious, I tood the liberty of switching things up a bit and swapped out some things for my favorite dishes:

cocottes of pork with dried mushroom steamed over rice
cocottes of beef with savory cilantro steamed over rice
Steamed free-ranged chicken with ginger and onion sauce
    Crisped scallops over fried rice

    Daily soup
    Walnut Shrimp
Sweet & Sour Pork (Hong Kong Style)
    Salt & Pepper Fish Fillet
Fried Tofu with baby bok choy sprouts
    Szechwan string beans
    Sesame Ball (dessert)

It may seem like a lot of rice, but it will be just enough to offset the other meat and veggie dishes. 8 dishes with a cup of soup each and mini sesame balls for dessert. Should be just right for 12.

These are some of my favorite dishes here, hope you enjoy them, too.

They never gave me a price. Maybe petite_gourmande knows. I'd guess 40 dollars would be a safe amount to bring, it certainly won't be more than that.

I am checking with Florence now, but I don't think it will be that high. I am aiming for no more than $20 tops including tax and generous tips.

She will let us know by COB today.

I'll be locked up at Cook Country jail that day, but if I break out early (unlikely), I'll head over there.

You've got this detective thing all wrong, you're supposed to catch the bad guy and put him/her in jail. You're not supposed to be in jail. Please do join us if you can.

I checked with Florence, and it will be around $20 or less, not more. Unless we order lots of extra things.

By the way, Florence suggested we switch out the steamed chicken for the crispy chicken (cha zi gai), she needs to start preparation today to make sure that the skin is crispy and the meat tasty. Keeping my fingers crossed, cause if prepared well, this is one of my favorite.

Hammond, will you be in stripes or orange?
