Reef Grill aka Captain Charlie's is a must. Enormous menu and special list that shouldn't be as good as it is. Very ingredient driven, much of the fish is day boat pristine. The owner, Ross was a friend of my father and mentored me when I arrived there from LA in 93. Helped find me my first job in S. Fla etc, etc... A class act and the definitive restauranteur. Expect to wait an hr or more in season @ their other restaurant "3 doors down" which it is, 3 doors down. Reasonable wine pricing as well.
Go to items are tempura grouper cheeks, baked oyster gratin, the previously mentioned t wa shrimp, the "tortizza" (named as such because the landlord had a deal w/another restaurant in the strip mall giving them the exclusive rights to pizza, Ross opted for using a crisped flour tortilla instead) or any of the fish of the day. Can't go wrong w/hog snapper or pompano w/a slice of peanut butter pie for dessert.
One of my favorite places in a land of mediocre food passing for acceptable.
