I didn't bring my camera last bbq, but here are a few from the june 25th one which i forgot to post about.
While we were waiting for snacks to show up or food to be done cooking we picked up this at the mexican food cart. Yes, it's as big as it looks. It was a crispy (fake chicharon?) shell topped with various toppings and pickled pork skin. For $5 it was a steal when you're in need of a snack at montrose harbor and feeling adventurous.

One of the highlights of the day was this peach and basil salad that LTHer Yumi brought. I don't recall her LTH name. If i remember correctly, she was recently introduced to the forum through another LTHer she met at a different cooking meetup. The salad was awesome, really fresh flavorful peaches complimented very well by the basil. I'd love to get the recipe someday!

Here's the turkey, post bacon wrap removal. The twice smoked bacon is always a treat!

And gastro gnome ritualistically carving it on the grass. This time we used a cutting board!

Then Panther in the Den and Linda teleported in just in time to join us. They managed to beam in just in time for turkey. They also brought and smokes some pork chops.

Some home made venison sausage, brought by my friend nate, deer killed and sausage made by his dad.

The tent you'll be looking for when trying to find us.

Everyone is welcome to join us this saturday, the summer is going by so fast, these will be over before you know it!
