Back in April, Chicago Mag reported 25 Degrees will opening this summer in River North and Patric Kuh updated in June.

Well, it's summer, and 25 Degrees is finally hiring.* Just got word Tim Goodell is enroute to Chicago and it's going to be sooner than later.

ErikM covered this 4 years ago, but the pix have gone bye-bye, so here's another (rather inadequate shot):

Aschie30 listed this as a best bite '08 and here it's listed as a top burger in LA. (Sorry for being meta, it's an entry by me).

Yes, FO uses dry-aged beef, and this is just boring sirloin, but I also don't feel like I'm dealing with a cult whenever I visit 25 Degrees. I hope you are all as excited as I (+ErikM).

I still haven't posted about any of my LA meals, really, but the low point of the trip was easily the 25 degrees in Hollywood. Burgers were mega-overcooked (medium rare came out well done and very dry), underseasoned, and the toppings overwhelmed. Onion rings + other non-burger items were good, though.

Hopefully everything is solid at the Chicago location.

Hope you sent that back g. No one should put up with that at the $11 for onion rings/burger level.

I've dined at the H'wood local over 2 handful of times, and the burger almost always come more rare plus even when ordered med. rare. It's a matter of pride for them, even at 3am. One of these days, when it's day light out, I'll shoot a half decent photo, just as a datum.

yeah, sadly we didn't have enough time. I'm sure it's an aberration, but it was really a disappointment.

    it was pretty, though.
