I imagine that many Libyans are probably at home with their friends or family, making calls back home to make sure everyone is OK.
George's is an Assyrian/Iraqi place. You could try one of the North African restaurants, none of them Libyan of course, but who knows, perhaps people are watching. Tassili (Algerian) on Elston and Shokran (Moroccan) on Irving come to mind.
Could also try a hookah cafe. Ugly hookah is pretty popular with the Arabian folks.
