I will be working at McCormick Place this weekend at the ungodly hour of 7am. I don't cook that early, it's against my religion.

I will be coming in on I-94; getting off at Jackson, then heading south on LSD. I could use a place that is open for a good solid breakfast for under $10, somewhere along this route so I don't get lost. No greasy spoons, but diners are fine. I see that Shor is right there, but it looks a little pricey. Any hints?

Something should be open in Chinatown that early.

You could probably get a standard breakfast at Yolk on Michigan near Roosevelt for your price, but it may go over by a buck or two.

What is matzo brie? I can only assume cheese made with crackers.

My sense of direction is terrible. I was at this location last year and had no idea I was 3 minutes from McCormick.

These ideas are great, guys! Keep 'em comin'.

The Ramova Grill is very close to McCormick and, if rumors are correct, will be closing in April. It's a terrific place, I highly recommend the chili omelette.
