I had a box of salmon fillets in my freezer. I think they are about 2 years old. They got buried behind something. I was going to toss them out but when I opened the box I noticed they were "shrink wrapped" in that heavy plastic that encases them and also in a marinade so there is frozen liquid around them too. They have been frozen rock solid all this time. They have no spots of freezer burn or anything. Do you think they would be safe to eat?

Safe? Yes. As to whether they'll be palatable, you'll know soon enough.

    Hi,

I would cook them and expect them to be palatable. If they were not, it is likely they were no good from the beginning.

If you still feel off about it, bring it to the next dessert exchange. I am sure someone will take it home. :D
