Hi everyone,
I am reaching out again to see if any of you would be interested in donating some tasty baked goods to Peterson Garden Project's annual Plant Sale/ Bake Sale Fundraiser, happening May 9, 10, 11th at the PGP Learning Center (4642 N. Francisco Ave.)
For those of you who contributed last year, a huge THANK YOU!! We hope you are interested in participating again this year. As we did the past few years, we are soliciting donations of baked goods--either sweet or savory--that we can sell. Last year's bake sale raised a substantial amount of money for PGP, with the money going to, among other things, the planting of the Grow-to-Give beds that each garden sponsors to donate fresh vegetables to a local organization that provides food to their community's needy.
I'm hoping that you might be interested in contributing something--either yourself or via any friends, colleagues or family who are professional or accomplished amateur chefs, bakers and/or cooks! If you have a good relationship with any bakeries and/or restaurants whom you think would be supportive of our efforts, feel free to ask them if they’d be interested in participating, or let me know and I can contact them. We are looking for items that are shelf stable since we don't have refrigeration, in whatever quantity you can provide. Last year’s bakers donated 10-12 dozen each for smaller items, although some also donated pies, cakes, bread loaves, etc.--we would love anything you think would be appropriate.
Donations are tax deductible since Peterson Garden Project is a 501(c)3 and we will be happy to provide a tax letter if needed. If you can drop off your donation by Thurs, May 8th that would be great, however we can arrange for it to be picked up if need be. If you think you can participate, please let me know, and also include what you will be baking.
If you have any questions, or to coordinate a donation drop off/pick up, please let me know via PM or email me at
jberman1130@yahoo.com.
Thank you!
