Aside from dinner at Michael Mina's Seablue and a decent sub at White House during my only visit there 2 years ago, I didn't have many memorable meals in Atlantic City.

Could someone suggest some great places to eat? Fine dining, casual, bar food and/or sub shops - just looking for something tasty. On or just off the boardwalk would be great, since I won't have a car and am staying at a casino property right on the boardwalk. Probably not going to leave A.C. proper either so no need to suggest places in outlying towns like Abescon or Brigantine.

Has anyone dined at any of the new restaurants in Revel yet? I'm staying close by and would like to try someplace there if it's worth it.

    Thanks!

I spent a couple of weekends in AC in the last few years, and have two places that I would definitely recommend:

    Angelloni's II
    2400 Arctic Ave
    Atlantic City

As you enter, you have to walk through the bar, and this just appears to be a neighborhood pub. However, the dining room is quite nice, and it is truly fantastic old school Italian. The veal dishes are standouts, and we tried several appetizers such as the sausage which was great, and a terrific squash soup that day. Prices were reasonable (15-20 per entree), and service was great. Nice wine list too.

    New Melaka Restaurant
    28 S Tennessee Ave
    Atlantic City

Hole in the wall Malaysian place that is obviously family owned and operated. We had a sizeable group and ordered a lot of items to mix and match. GAF may have some pictures of this. The mango chicken was a standout, and there were many very unique items that I had never seen before. Also very inexpensive. I would highly recommend. In addition to the Malay menu, they also had extensive Chinese offerings, and some Indonesian as well.

My family rented a condo in Wildwood and I'm looking for restaurants suitable for 4 not *too* picky teens and 6 adults. Seafood, Italian, Chinese may be most agreeable to the group, but I'd prefer it not be too touristy (is that even possible?). Not limited to Wildwood, anywhere Cape May to AC is in range.

Recommendations/thoughts on these (Wildwood) restaurants: Hooked Up Seafood, Groff's, Dock Street, Goodfish, Io-E-Tu?

    Thanks in advance,
    Wendy

My partner and I have booked a room at a B&B in Cape May for a long weekend in July. Any updates on dining in this part of the world? We'll have a car and are fairly adventurous, -- we were just as happy at Next as we were slurping pho in Hanoi.

If you see this post, Wendy, I'm particularly curious how your trip went. We're attending a wedding in Wildwood, so we'll be in the same area you visited last year.

    Thanks in advance, everyone!

Because we had a rental house and a large group, we cooked dinners. (Pristine fish/seafood from Dock Street Seafood in Wildwood.) The one outing I recall was to Maui's Dog House (niece recommendation based on DDD episode.) Good dogs, better italian sausage, and great fries.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Thanks, wendy! I appreciate your taking the time to reply. Does Dock Street have prepared food to go? It may be a good place for assembling a picnic.

At any rate, no idea how much free time we'll have, since it is a wedding and there will probably be organized type things taking up valuable restaurant dining time. ;)
