Yes, the cheese bread is of the airy style. It's a good example of its genre (think dinner rolls), and makes excellent toast.

Those of you who disdain soft breads may enjoy this.

Please continue. What's a few miles away?

Another Woodman's. :) And the Metro Market in Meqoun has a good Cheese selection, as well as Sendiks. As much as I dislike Chairman Boob, the (very nice) lady that runs the cheese department at Metro added in a couple of my favorite cheeses per my request. The (rather nasty that day) woman behind the cheese counter at Sendik's told me that they carried whet she wanted, not what I would like. I was astounded at the response because Sendiks has always been known for service. Maybe a bad day for her.

I was on a real kick for some raclette for a while - Woodman's was 1/2 the price of Larry's. The same for a Mozz. that I enjoy.
Larry's is a great place and I often do stop there, but it is expensive. I'd like to know what his business split is between catering and the shop.

Some of the things I used to go into Larry's for I can now get at Trader Joes in Bayshore as well.

Oh - another place that I use instead of Larry's is the newly remodeled Piggly Wiggly in Cedarburg.
They have expanded the cheese selection and often there are specials. Some of the aged Fox Brother's cheese is very good for the price.

I goofed - that is not a Pig that carries Fox Brothers. They have their own brand "Olsen" that I'm sure is supplied by the same people though.
I had to run all over the eastern side of the state today to get several "cheese" boxes out to the better two-third's relatives. Since Larry's is around the corner, I stopped in before going home. I will say that he was the only one to have a Wisconsin Liederkranz in stock. Now I need rye bread and onions.

Stopped Saturday morning at Widmer's in Theresa(Open 7am) on my way to Lomira.
Just a quick jaunt off HWY41. If you want to actually see cheese being made, then you must go on a weekday. Strange because the cows don't take days off!
Widmer's makes Brick, Aged Brick, Cheddar of various ages and Colby.
Picked up a brick of mild Cheddar($5.29/#)(Dogs favorite), a brick of aged Brick and a 2# irregular piece of 10 year old Cheddar($2/# price break).
The 10 year old is as good as any I have ever had in that age range. Mild Cheddar is mild Cheddar and aged Brick is not for everyone.
There are various other cheeses and stuff for sale as befits a small cheese shop but there are no Bloody Mary's or other amusements, just an honest business selling honest products made right there.
