I can't make it, but let us know how the cannelle are, if available. Just had a depressing (and pricey) Floriole cannelle at Intelligentsia. Not their best effort (maybe). My hope is that they were mishandled by the coffee shop. If I hadn't had several at Bad Wolf in the past several weeks, I might have mildly liked it. But no comparison, unfortunately. No tooth to the crust, no custard to the crumb, no burnt sugar flavor, no hint of vanilla. I am not one of those idiots who thinks that there can only be one go-to place for a particular food item or even that head-to-head comparisons are particularly helpful. But the contrast was so stark. Bad Wolf's are consistent and the best I've ever had, and Floriole's via Intelligentsia was middling at best. This despite the fact that Floriole's cannelle enjoy great renown, a la the kouign amann. If my description is not apt based on others' experience at the bakery, then Floriole might want to reassess Intelligentsia's handling of their products.
