I cannot find this posted here yet so apologies if this is a repeat, but Zenwich will be opening a Chicago location very soon, near Van Buren and Wells, I believe.

Happy for me because I work just a few minutes from there.

That is fantastic news! I only do the 16-mile drive up to Elmhurst about one Saturday afternoon every 4-5 months. It'll immediately jump to the top of the rotation for me, especially if they stay open until at least 6:30pm so I can get a sandwich for dinner.

    Good news times two.

    1) The horrific Burrito Buggy has closed.
    2) Zenwich is in the Loop.

    I'm pysched.

    Anyone ever been ?

I've been to the one on Belmont. They do fixed-price Subway-style smaller pizzas where you can choose any number of toppings and then they quick fire it in the oven, so it's ready in just a couple minutes. I thought it was good for the price (much better than expected from the concept), but it's not mind-blowing.

I had Blaze a couple weeks ago as well - it's very good and super fast. I like the concept.

Coming soon sign for restaurant and brewery: Break Room Brewery. Open garage door showed construction that makes me think that brewing is not beginning real soon. Web site has a fair number of coming soon pages including all menus and says that beer sales will be on site only but will include growler fills. The signs say lunch and dinner daily with weekend brunch.

The owner has a bar construction business in the same industrial building complex. Some of the space where the restaurant will be was used as a break room for that business. The name makes sense in that context but is otherwise pretty uninformative.

I was trying to remember the name of the deli that was located back in the old days in the space where Park City Grill has been. Was it Goldie's? I think they had little crocks of pickles on the tables, and oyster crackers for the soup. You ordered over a high counter near the entrance. My tall brother went in there once with his equally tall girlfriend, and the owner told her "no roller skates allowed."

Driving along Rand Rd yesterday, just south of Dundee Rd, I saw a large banner that declared "Grand Opening Pho Son Ha Vietnamese Noodles." I pulled into the parking lot immediately, but found that it was in fact not yet open, grandly or otherwise. However, the tables were all set and it looked like it might be getting close to ready to open. There was a truck out front with a more permanent sign -- so one hopes.

Not certain when it will open or if it will be good, but I'm pleased to think that pho will soon be available just 10 minutes up the road -- because as awesome as Tank is, it's a long drive.

If anyone gets to this place before I do, I hope you'll let us know if it's any good.

I thought us over by here at King Pho on Devon near Central or Pho #1 on Lawrence near Austin was the farthest?
