Happy for me because I work just a few minutes from there.

I was interested as I walked by this AM but now I see it's a franchise.
Anyone ever been ?
I've been to the one on Belmont. They do fixed-price Subway-style smaller pizzas where you can choose any number of toppings and then they quick fire it in the oven, so it's ready in just a couple minutes. I thought it was good for the price (much better than expected from the concept), but it's not mind-blowing.

Oak and Char - a new restaurant that uses charred wood on the walls and in the kitchen will open this month in the former Graham Elliot restaurant at 217 W. Huron St.

I think they had little crocks of pickles on the tables, and oyster crackers for the soup. You ordered over a high counter near the entrance. My tall brother went in there once with his equally tall girlfriend, and the owner told her "no roller skates allowed."

In so much as the Vietnamese diaspora using "Pho" in their biz names goes that's gotta be the farthest place from Argyle and Broadway known to Chicago-Man so far.
I thought us over by here at King Pho on Devon near Central or Pho #1 on Lawrence near Austin was the farthest?
If anyone finds a 1313 or a 9999 in Sterling IL that will be the tell all.

You poor sheltered city boy: There's a 'Noodles "Pho" You' in Naperville, and a 'House of Pho' in Schaumburg. There had been a place called "Pho You" at Buffalo Grove Rd. and Dundee (next to the late, lamented Chaihanna). Further out, there are ones in Rockford and Milwaukee, but those are new epicenters, rather than signs of spreading culture.
The team behind Taylor Street Three Aces have officially opened their Italian-inspired restaurant Charlatan.
The "locally sourced, modern Italian-inspired" spot, 1329 W. Chicago Ave., opened in West Town Wednesday.

That sucks. Any news on why? Didn't see anything on their FB page.
