Shake Shack, the upscale burger joint started by restaurateur Danny Meyer, hopes to raise as much as $100 million in an initial public offering.

Coming to Old Orchard - http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/ ... story.html
The proposed site is part of the space currently occupied by Talbot's, which is on the east side of Old Orchard (directly east of Marshall... I mean, east of Macy's). I doubt that it will be any more overrun with high school kids than Frontera Fresco or Johnny Rocket's is - which, basically, it isn't, at all.
The Windy City's second location of Danny Meyer's line-inducing chef-driven fast-casual burger chain opens on Thursday at 11 a.m., the chain announced this morning, on the ground floor of the renovated historic Chicago Athletic Association Hotel at 12 S. Michigan across from Millennium Park. The rest of the hotel opens tomorrow.

Looks like some possibly interesting options besides the Shack:
"Cindy's ... rooftop restaurant and open air terrace overlooking Millennium Park ...
"Cherry Circle Room, the historic, iconic restaurant space that has serviced the building for generations ...
"The Game Room ... deep cocktail culture ...
"The Milk Room ... a prohibition-era whiskey bar ..."

I used to work for Westfield, in the regional corporate office at OO. The site for Shake Shack is on the WEST side of the mall. Check the site map.
North Shore residents can celebrate with Shackburgers and concretes as yesterday marked the opening of the third Shake Shack in the Chicago area.

I should've done Naf Naf, Lao Sze Chuan, or Akai Hana instead.
