I was with Steve that day, also had Mr. D's steak sandwich. If near-far NW burbs can stretch to slightly past the Wisconsin border, the Brat Stop on Hwy 50, just west of 94 has an excellent ribeye steak sandwich. Cooked over charcoal behind the bar and served on a brat bun. I actually prefer the steak to the brat at the Brat Stop.
