What's everyone's favorite place to purchase rack of lamb? Is it fresh or frozen in a cryo bag? Do they have it all the time or is it an item they have to order?

Thanks in advance for your opinions!

Never bought it anywhere else besides Costco. It's always there and in a croyovac. Been happy w it every time but have no comparison, as it's usually about half the price as other sources.

I also only buy at Costco. It is something that I will make a special trip to Costco, if I need it. Usually only go once every 6 weeks or so.

    Fresh Farms on Touhy.
Fresh USA lamb cut to order. No cryovac.
Cosco sells imported lamb mostly raised on grass.
I consider this as different to USA lamb as it is to venison.

Whole ‘baby’ lamb also available for Easter.
    Only source I use.
Call ahead as they may have cut all the pieces.-Richard

If you are having a "must serve rack of lamb immediately" emergency, Trader Joe's usually has smaller-portioned pre-marinated racks.

Last time I was at Joseph's Finest Meats, the guys there were talking up their lamb (American-raised for what its worth). I'd call to find out exactly what they've got but I bet they can cover you, and that it would be high quality. I haven't had the lamb from there, but their steaks are great, and everything else I've gotten from there has been top-notch as well.

I've gotten racks from Joseph's several times - always very good.
